Building Electronic Journal by Using the Prado Framework

Abstract

Information technology is one of the technologies is rapidly growing at this time. With the advancement in information technology, access to the data or information available can take place quickly, efficiently and accurately. This study aims to provide a picture of an e-journal using web services so that users can easily obtain the journal information wherever and whenever they are on-line. E-Journals are expected to be used by journal managers who do not have web and want to display it on the internet. E-Journals are constructed by using the PRADO framework based on the PHP5 language programming, and using MySQL as a database. This research was conducted with several stages of starting from analysis, system design (database design, display design, program coding), and continued with testing to find errors and ensure that systems are built in accordance with the needed by the user.
